Storytelling a great success

During the week of 28 October – 1 November Tenby Museum and Art Gallery provided free storytelling for children.  Teifion Powell, 22, a graduate of Performing Arts from Newport University and a previous performer at the museum for the Dylan Thomas event (held in August 2013), gave wonderful imaginative renditions of several children’s favourites including The Gruffalo, Room on a Broom and Where the Wild Things Are.  He took the children on adventures of piracy, witches and wordplay.  One audience member wrote in the museum’s Visitors Book  that the storytelling had been “fantastic” which was a sentiment expressed by everyone who had the pleasure and good fortune to listen in.  The museum is hoping to undertake storytelling again at a future date.
