New panels for outside the museum

Three new bilingual interpretive panels have been put up on the outside of the museum as tasters so visitors will hopefully get an idea of the high standard of exhibitions inside and be encouraged to set foot over the threshold to experience the magical delights of the museum!

The three panels are based around Tenby’s fortifications, including the town walls, castle and St Catherine’s Island (with a small section on gong farmers) and also the history of Castle Hill. ¬†Funding for the panels was kindly provided by Tenby Town Council.

I once overheard someone call a visit to a museum “time travel for beginners” and that Tenby Museum was “like a Tardis”and this flight of fantasy journey can now begin even before opening the front door!
