The joint exhibition of work by husband and wife team Linda and Bill Thompson opens at the museum on Saturday 25 March.
They work in entirely different styles but both share a passion for art. Linda graduated with a degree in Fine Art in 2007 and has been painting full time since then. Her work is focused on Tenby, but not traditional landscapes and seascapes. She takes a familiar view and presents it in a different way. “There is a timeless charm about Tenby that is sometimes lost in the bustle of the summer season, and as a painter I have tried to show this part of the town that is always present and still continues to captivate, hopefully engaging the viewer to look again and be enchanted by this beguiling town.”
The exhibition is the first time that Bill has shown his work in a public forum. He trained as a chartered design engineer and the focus of his work is geometric shapes which he combines with colour to “leave the viewer with pleasant, positive thoughts.”
Linda Thompson: Tenby – Enchanted! and Bill Thompson: It’s All Subjective runs until Sunday 7 May.
