Museum gallery refurbishment day 13

Right. Technically I know that this is not Day 13 but I have been away and so am playing catch-up.  I have returned from my brief but hugely enjoyable sojourn in Iceland and the blog, as you can see, is now back.   And here is the progress report.

The painting has been well and truly finished and the gallery looks brand spanking. Dyfed Alarms have replaced the smoke detector and alarm and Glenn Bowen and Peter Edwards have brought light and heat to the gallery. It is all systems go now and from Monday of next week the placing of the exhibition on Tenby and WWI will commence.  The excitement in the air of the Collections Manager’s office is palpable – you can almost cut it with a knife.  Next week cases will be placed, panels put up, items laid out and labelled and fingers crossed, the gallery will be open for Easter.  Can not wait.

Huge thanks must be extended again to the Friends of Tenby Museum for funding the refurbishment of this gallery.
