In Memory of Aneurin Jones

The recent exhibition of Aneurin and Meirion Jones’ work at Tenby Museum truly showed that Aneurin was one of the most important and vibrant Welsh artists of our time. His subtle commentary on the passing of the rural life of his beloved country produced some truly wonderful and vivid works and kept at the forefront of our minds the gradual and tragic erosion of this traditional way of life, whilst at the same time celebrating it.

We were fortunate to have known Aneurin and to have had his work exhibited here on two separate occasions and his legacy will live long, in our memories of him, his paintings and through the talent inherited by his son Meirion.

Our thoughts are with his family.
