Events
Tenby Museum and Art Gallery regularly contributes to various events, both national and local.  Here are some of the events in which the museum has willingly participated!

Museums and Galleries Month

In 2008 the museum is once again participating in Museums and Galleries Month with a Family History Day on 30 May which will give you the opportunity to research your personal heritage with our family historian Kevin Thomas

During the month of May there is an exhibition commemorating the life and works of Robert Recorde on the 450th anniversary of his death. Robert Recorde was born in Tenby in 1510, the son of a merchant and sometime mayor of Tenby. After going to Oxford at the age of 15 he became a renowned scientist and mathematician and was the first person to publish books on mathematics in English. Amongst his many accomplishments he introduced algebra into Britain, invented the equals sign and devised the square root as we use it today.
