Guy Manning talks artistic geometry
Artist Guy Manning recently gave a fascinating talk to students at Sir Thomas Picton School in Haverfordwest on Euclidian geometry and the Golden Section in art.
The illustrated talk was part of the Robert Recorde celebrations being undertaken buy the museum in conjunction with the London mathematical Society’s 150th Anniversary Local Heroes project. The talk once again brought home how mathematics is used in everyday life and how the work of figures such as Recorde have a lasting legacy for us all.
