An exhibition of privately owned art is being exhibited at Tenby Museum and Art Gallery for one week only in August. This sales exhibition, entitled Gentleman’s Collection, features work by artists such as Augustus and Gwen John, John Piper, the Buck brothers, Brendan Stuart Burns, John Knapp-Fisher, Arthur and Bim Giardelli, Ray Howard Jones, Mary Lloyd Jones, Philip Sutton, Geoff Yeomans, Claudia Williams and Osi Rhys Osmond to name but a few.

Curator Mark Lewis, who has organised the exhibition with the vendor, stated, “The museum does not normally host such private selling shows but the owner of these works is a long-term supporter of the museum and is being exceptionally generous in giving us the opportunity to raise much needed funds for the museum.  For any art lover out there this is the ideal opportunity to snap up some wonderful works of highly desirable art.”

Works will be available for purchase from Monday 19 August and the show will run until Sunday 25 August.  All works purchased will need to be collected from the museum.  For more information about the works and a sneak preview of the show click the link for the Gentleman’s Collection on this website.
