Artist Guy Manning recently donated two works of art to Tenby Museum and Art Gallery. The pictures are entitled The Edge of the Woods, Caldey and Brynhir Blossoms.

Over the years Guy has become one of the most recognisable landscape artists in west Wales and has had exhibitions across the UK, France and the USA.

Guy said, “I am delighted to have two of my paintings accepted by Tenby Museum and Art Gallery for their permanent collection. It may be a small museum on the west coast but it has a wonderful and substantial collection of art. To have my paintings in the same room as Gwen and Augustus John, David Jones, John Piper and latterly Naomi Tydeman and Grahame Hurd-Wood is really exciting. I am really grateful to the museum staff who have supported my exhibitions here over the years.”

Tenby Museum’s Collections Manager Mark Lewis said, “We are exceptionally grateful to Guy for his generosity in donating these works. Guy is a wonderful and highly respected landscape artist whose works are filled with warmth and colour and we are glad to have provided him with exhibition space over the years.”
