REUSABLE TICKET SCHEME: Tickets can be used for one year after purchase so as many return visits within that time can be made at no additional charge.
There is a Gift Aid scheme in operation whereby we may claim a refund from the Government for tickets sold to tax payers.
Audio tours are available free of charge.
The shop and cafe can be visited for free.
DISABLED ACCESS
The museum is located on Castle Hill which is approached via a steep but accessible hill. There is wheelchair access to the building. Internally the museum building is fully accessible to disabled users via a porch lift with limited access (via three steps) to one gallery (the Maritime section) and the public toilet. It is the museum’s policy to charge admission to disabled users but to allow any carer free admission. The Research facilities are fully accessible to disabled users. The museum can provide a wheelchair free of charge if required.
