The current exhibition at Tenby Museum and Art Gallery, rightly entitled “100% Tenby” is a little different from usual. It is, said Trustee Kathy Talbot, a ‘cornucopia of Tenby’ – Jan Regmortel who has a great love of Tenby and lived here as a child, has, over 25 years, collected paintings of Tenby and has kindly loaned them for this excellent exhibition – with over 150 paintings by more that 50 different artists there is so much to see – the exhibition which continues until 7th April demonstrates the many and varied aspects of Tenby and the different and rich interpretations by so many painters. Jan usually has these paintings on her walls a home and she said that for her it is a delight and honour to see them all together here in Tenby Museum’s gallery. Many show the essence of a view at a particular time, with images painted in the nineteenth century, alongside contemporary ones, reflecting the changes in Tenby over the years. It really is a ‘must see’ for all who are interested in Tenby and the Museum looks forward to welcoming many local visitors. The Museum and Art Gallery are open Tuesday to Saturday until 31st March and then every day from 10.00 to 16.30.
